On January 2nd, 2008, Mr. Lloyd Bjork of Whitehorse visited McCrae Petro Canada to check and validate his lottery tickets purchased in the past month. The lottery ticket checker advised him to have his retailer validate one of his tickets - a 6/49 ticket for the December 19th draw that he had purchased at Super A Foods in Porter Creek. When retailer Jean Murphy checked the ticket, she advised Lloyd that the lottery office was looking for him. To his amazement, he held the 6/49 ticket that shared 5+ the bonus number with four other lucky Canadians, all of whom received a $63,580.40 prize!! Since December 19th, Lotteries Yukon had been advising Yukoners that someone was holding a winning ticket and were pleased when Lloyd came into the office with the winning ticket and validation slip.

Louise Jackson of Haines Junction walked into the local Madley's Bigway Store on January 11th to purchase her usual Crossword instant ticket. The store had sold out and Louise decided to buy a $3 Bingo ticket instead. She scratched the ticket and thought she had won $500 by uncovering four corners. However, before she took it back to the store for validation, she looked again and realized that she had uncovered an "X" for a cash windfall of $10,000!!! 

TWICE LUCKY!!! Shelly Macelheron of Whitehorse bought a KENO ticket for draws on January 10th from Tags Food and Gas in Whitehorse and won $1,529.00. The very next day, she purchased KENO again and won $1,504.00!!

Patricia Hernot of Whitehorse won $2,000.00 on her lucky KENO ticket. Patricia purchased her ticket from Tags Food and Gas in Whitehorse on December 22nd.

Larry Bill of Whitehorse bought his winning Lotto 6/49 ticket at Riverdale Super A on January 16th and won $1,939.50.

Holly Stirling of Whitehorse won $2,498.20 on her lucky Lotto 6/49 ticket. Holly purchased her ticket from Goody's Gas on January 12th.

John Stubenberg of Watson Lake bought his winning Lotto 6/49 ticket at Tags Food and Gas in Watson Lake on January 2nd and won $1,289.80.

Keith Bickerstaffe of Whitehorse won $1,433.80 on his lucky Lotto 6/49 ticket. Keith purchased his ticket from Tags Food and Gas in Whitehorse on December 29th.

Bill Hall was in Whitehorse to visit family before relocating to his new home in New Brunswick when he decided to stop in to Shopper's Drug Mart on Main Street to buy a Lotto 6/49 ticket. Bill soon discovered that his ticket from the November 3rd draw was worth $1,978.90.
